Last night my father flew into town. This weekend is my aunt's wedding up in Portland, Oregon. I've been chomping at the bit waiting to take my dad up for a ride in the RV. The last time he saw it in person it was still in my garage. On gear, wired, and engine hung...I think I was working on the baffles and engine power control cables and stuff.

Anyway, today we flew up to my sister's house in Willits, CA. It was gonna be a non-stop flight, but biological needs got the best of my father...so we made a pitstop in Mendota. I had never been there, and I most likely won't return by choice.

There are some truck dispatch facilities and that's about it.

When doing the runup before departing, the engine ran rough on the Lightspeed ignition. Hm...I just re-wired the coils, so what's up now? I figured I'd replace the top plugs and see if that fixed the problem. Trouble was, I only had my "abbreviated" tool kit with me, and I stupidly left my spark plug wrench at home. Dumbass. It took about an hour for me to track somebody down who had some tools. In the end I replaced the plugs with a pair of mini channel lock pliers. Ugh.
